Woodworkers Supply
Woodworking tools and supplies for the hobbyist or the professional
Mastering woodworking as a hobby or full-time profession is much more simple when sticking to some basic woodworking strategies. Woodworking is an art that has been around since Adam vacated the Garden of Eden and had to take care of his family on his own. The first documented evidence of the workbench goes back to the Roman Empire. In addition, today’s modern DIY woodworkers use not only manual hand tools like chisels and wood planes, but also electric woodworking equipment like wood routers and electric circular saws.
The Home Based Woodworking Shop
All DIY woodworkers must have a workshop of some size or another. In most cases a room in the basement or a corner of the garage is the first workshop the DIY woodworking enthusiast experiences.
No matter the size or location, two things must take center stage; the dust collection system and the air ventilation system. If wood dust and gases build up, then they become both a fire and health hazard for the woodworker and those around the workshop.

Shops And Booths
A children clothing designer who works with bright colors and prints will have a very different themed booth from the woodworker. Since the clothes for sale are small, the designer will have them hung high up in her booth so they can be seen. The designer will most likely have dark navy cloth hanging along the side walls of the tent, to contrast with and show off the bright colors of the clothing.
Good choices for a woodworker include simple wooden shelves lining the back wall of his booth showing off smaller items. One complete and consistent theme from ceiling to floor is nicest to the eyes. Choose fabrics that look and feel appropriate to hang along the side walls of the booth. Use these same fabrics to drape over any tables in the booth. (Use the space under the table for hidden storage.)
Larger items can be placed on tables along the side walls of the tent, and the largest items closest to the entry, on low palettes or the ground. To make things interesting, the woodworker can sit at the entrance to his booth, whittling or working on a project.
Wooden Toys
The simplicity and beauty of the wooden toy can sometimes be overshadowed by more modern fancy and flashy toys, but the true toy connoisseur can appreciate the workmanship behind the masterpiece. A woodworker might spend hundreds of hours cutting, sanding, and finishing before declaring a project complete. Craftsmanship that is often lacking in the mass production of today’s modern toys can be found in handcrafted toys, Classic Wooden Toys.
Perhaps the most popular wooden toy is the wooden rocking horse. Many a child has had the pleasure of rocking for hours on the back of a proud steed as they built imaginary adventures. Variations on the rocking horse include other rocking animals such as lions, giraffes and alligators. Carousel horses and other animals not only grace the carnival ride but feature prominently in many toy collections.
